Position: Year 5 Class Teacher

Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

Are you a passionate and experienced primary teacher looking for your next rewarding role? A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Great Barr is seeking a dedicated Year 5 Class Teacher to join their team immediately and continue through to the end of the academic year.

About the Role:

You will take full responsibility for a Year 5 class, delivering engaging and high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum. This is a full-time role requiring commitment to all aspects of class teaching, including:

  • Planning, preparing, and delivering lessons
  • Assessing and tracking pupil progress
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively
  • Liaising with parents, carers, and colleagues
  • Participating in staff meetings and school events

About You:

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Has recent experience teaching in KS2, ideally Year 5
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Is enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed to pupil development
  • Can hit the ground running and integrate quickly into a supportive team
