Year 6 Teaching Assistant

Monarch Education are working with a primary school in Bury who are seeking to appoint a qualified Teaching Assistant (Level 2 or Level 3) to support their Year 6 class during an extended period of absence, initially for one term, with the possibility of extension. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm.

As the successful candidate, you will be expected to:

• Have a solid understanding of the Year 6 curriculum and be comfortable supporting it
• Possess strong skills in English and Maths
• Be confident in leading small groups for intervention sessions and managing behaviour effectively
• Exhibit a calm, patient approach while creating an engaging and positive learning environment
• Hold a recognised Teaching Assistant qualification at Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent). Degree-qualified graduates are also welcome to apply.
