Youth worker support in a Secondary Pupil Referral Unit (Driver)

Monarch Education are working in partnership with a secondary pupil referral unit in the Eccles area. We are looking to recruit an experienced, motivated and resilient Youth Worker, to support students in the classroom and offer extra emotional and social support.

The role is to support students in Keys Stage 3 and 4, with an Educational Health and Care Plan (EHCP) identifying SEMH.

The school is easily accessed by public transport and on-site parking is available.

The position is open to all experienced individuals who have a background in youth work, sports coaching, support work or have any other experience of mentoring children and young adults.It is not essential that you have prior experience working with children, other factors such as willingness to support pupils from deprived backgrounds and personal background will be taken into consideration. Depending on performance, the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH MONARCH EDUCATION, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional related references that cover at least the last two years
  • Have a driving license and access to a car
