Monarch Education School Referral T&Cs

Updated: 29/04/2026

Overview:

This scheme allows schools to refer qualified teachers (with QTS), teaching assistants, and other non-teaching staff to Monarch Education. The referring school will be eligible for a reward upon the referred candidate completing 20 days of work within 3 months of registration (teachers and teaching assistants), or 100 hours of work within 3 months of registration (other non-teaching staff).

Eligibility for Referral Reward:

  • The referral must be made by a school within the Monarch Education database.
  • The candidate must not have previously registered with Monarch Education or any of its affiliate brands.
  • The referred teacher must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and be eligible to work in the UK.
  • The referred candidate must not currently be registered or actively seeking work through Monarch Education at the time of referral.

Referral Process:

  • Schools must submit the referral via the designated web form or in writing to their Monarch Education account manager/consultant.
  • Both the school and the referred candidate must confirm the referral.
  • The referred candidate must register within 4 weeks of the referral submission.

Work and Reward Criteria:

  • The reward can be paid directly to the school or credited to the school’s Monarch account for future supply bookings.
  • The reward will be processed within 4 weeks after the 20th day of work has been completed and verified (teachers and teaching assistants), or after the 100th hour of work has been completed and verified (other non-teaching staff).
  • Cannot be combined with any other bonus offered by Monarch Education or AWS.

Teachers:

  • The referred teacher must complete 20 days of work within 3 months of their registration date.
  • The school will receive a £300 reward upon the teacher completing the 20 days.

Teaching Assistants:

  • The referred teacher must complete 20 days of work within 3 months of their registration date.
  • The school will receive a £200 reward upon the teaching assistant completing the 20 days.

Other Non-teaching Staff:

  • The referred teacher must complete 100 hours of work within 3 months of their registration date.
  • The school will receive a £200 reward upon the candidate completing the 100 hours.

Additional Conditions:

  • If the referred candidate leaves Monarch Education before reaching the working threshold (20 days of work/100 hours), the school will not qualify for the reward unless a new referral is made, and the new work requirements are met.
  • The reward can be split, with the school and candidate each receiving £150 (teachers) or £100 (teaching assistants and non-teaching staff), if both parties agree in writing beforehand.
  • All referrals must be for candidates eligible to work in the UK.

  • Monarch Education reserves the right to amend or withdraw the scheme at any time.
  • All other Monarch Education terms and conditions apply.

The Monarch Education Refer a Friend scheme is limited to referrals of personal contacts by registered users. You must not refer any person under this scheme where you gained or developed the relationship through your employment, office, agency or any other position you may hold, or where referring the individual breaches any duty you may owe to any other organisation or person. To do so may amount to a criminal offence.

By referring any person under this scheme:

You warrant and confirm that the referral does not breach any duty you (or any third party) may owe to any other person or organisation (due to any expectation on you to act in good faith or impartially, or because you are in a position of trust) arising out of any:
A. Function of a public nature;
B. Activity connected with a business, trade or profession;
C. Activity performed in the course of any person’s employment (including yours); or
D. Activity performed by or on behalf of a body of persons (whether corporate or incorporate)
You agree to refund on demand (without any time limit) any reward where you are found to be in breach of these terms. AWS shall not be liable arising out of or in connection with this agreement or (i) any loss of or damage to profit, revenue, savings, data, use, contract, goodwill or business or (ii) any indirect or consequential loss or damage, in each case howsoever caused or arising.

The term “howsoever caused or arising” when used in this agreement shall be construed widely to cover all causes and actions giving rise to liability, including but not limited to (i) whether arising by reason of any misrepresentation (whether made prior to and/or in this Agreement), negligence, breach of statutory duty, other tort, breach of contract, restitution or otherwise and (ii) whether arising under any indemnity and (iii) whether caused by any total or partial failure or delay by AWS.

Nothing in this agreement shall limit or exclude any party’s liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by the negligence, or to the extent otherwise not permitted by law.
