We are working in partnership with Secondary Schools in Oldham who are looking for a number of Learning Support Assistant’s to join their support and pastoral teams this term. These roles are full-time working Monday – Friday 8:30 – 15:30 during term time.
The schools we work with are well organised and have strong SEN support teams in place, that they are now looking to grow and strengthen with extra Learning Support Assistants for the remainder of the year. These roles are ongoing, long-term roles, that will likely last the duration of the whole academic year, with potential to go on to the schools contact if this suits your situation.
The role is to work as a Learning Support Assistant; working to a personalised timetable with identified pupils who require focused support in school, helping them to reach their true potential. You may be working in the schools designated SEN department or be in the main schools classrooms working with identified pupils. You will be supported by a wider team of support staff and will report into the learning manager.
The schools will consider candidates with experience in this field or those who don’t have the experience but have an evident passion for supporting pupils with additional needs and helping them to reach their true potential. You may be a graduate who is looking to explore a potential career in education – degrees in Psychology, Sports, Criminology all have transferable skills that are well suited to this. Also candidates who have working with children and young people but not in a school setting and are looking to move across in to this environment.
If you are eligible for this role, apply below with an up to date CV or covering letter and a member of our secondary team will be in touch straight away to discuss your experience and these opportunities in more depth.
All applicants must undergo an enhanced DBS check as well as provide references for their last 2 years of employment/education.
