The Ideal Primary Teaching Assistant

The school are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and patient Primary Teaching Assistant to join their welcoming and committed team. Your role will be supporting children in their daily life and learning. Supporting children who find parts of the curriculum challenging, alongside supporting children with social and emotional issues will a major part of the role. The school are looking to appointment a practitioner who shows initiative care and a sense of really making a difference to a child’s day to day well -being.

An understanding, and previous experience of working with children or in a care setting is desirable.

Your responsibilities would include:

• Supporting children within a class with additional needs
• Working with the Class teacher and other support staff to prepare resources and deliver lessons to individuals and small groups
• Having a flexible approach to behaviour management
• Being a positive and solution focused member of the team
• Liaising with Parents and external agencies to support children
• Personal care at times

*Your Primary consultant is a Qualified Primary teacher with 14 years’ experience as a class teacher and SENCO, in Primary schools across Manchester. Able to offer additional support with lessons, behaviour strategies, and a friendly ear!
