Sports Coach at Cabot Learning Federation

Affinity Workforce are the Managed Service Provider for Cabot Learning Federation and we are looking for an experienced Sports Coach or PE Teacher to work across their secondary academies across Bristol and South Gloucestershire. Our very close partnership with the Cabot Learning Federation Trust enables us to offer work consistently to Sports Coaches and PE Teachers within these schools.

The Cabot Learning Federation are committed to providing their students with a well-rounded education that includes a strong emphasis on sports and physical fitness. As a secondary Sports Coach working in the Cabot Learning Federation via Affinity Workforce you will play a key role in promoting the physical and emotional well-being of their students. This role is ideal for someone looking for work between the hours of 8.15am and 3.15pm, Monday to Friday, as well as someone who is looking to do their PE PGCE teacher training in the future.

The key responsibilities will be:

• to deliver pre-prepared sports lessons and activities to students aged 11 to 16 years of age across all areas of sports.
• promote a positive and inclusive sports culture, encouraging all students to participate
• collaborate with colleagues in the PE department team to deliver lessons
• Ensure the safety and well-being of students during sports activities

The ideal applicant will hold:

• A degree or equivalent qualification in the field of Sports Science, Physical Education or as related field
• Experience in coaching and working with secondary school students
• Strong knowledge of a variety of sports and physical education curriculum
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to inspire and motivate students
• Knowledge of sports related safety protocols
• Enthusiasm for promoting physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle
