Learning Support Assistant

Monarch Education are recruiting for Learning Support Assistants in the Bristol area. I work with a range of Primary, Secondary, SEND and Independent schools. All of our teaching assistants support learners across all subjects acting as general classroom support or supporting pupils on a 1:1.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the classroom teacher
  • Monitoring and evaluation of pupil progress
  • Delivering small group interventions
  • Behaviour management via ECHP

Requirements for the role:

  • Experience working with young people, ideally in a classroom setting
  • A strong team player, with excellent organisation and interpersonal skills, who is able to support and inspire children to learn
  • Able to commute
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience working collaboratively in a dynamic and supportive environment
  • The ability to adapt to an ever changing workload
  • Experience in supporting pupils will additional needs (desirable but not essential)
