Monarch Education are seeking a passionate and dedicated Cover Supervisor to join a vibrant secondary school located in Birmingham, from 1st September. This full-time role offers an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of lessons across various subjects, ensuring a smooth and effective learning experience for students. As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee lessons in the absence of class teachers, ensuring that planned activities are delivered effectively and that students remain engaged and on-task. You will work closely with school staff to support student behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.

The Candidate will need:

  • Relevant experience working with secondary school students
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage behaviour and maintain a positive classroom environment
  • Flexibility and adaptability to cover a range of subjects
  • Confidence in following lesson plans and instructions from teachers
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising and managing classes across different subject areas
  • Following lesson plans provided by teachers
  • Promoting a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment
  • Supporting students’ engagement and behaviour
  • Assisting with the smooth running of lessons and activities
  • Reporting on student attendance and behaviour as required
