Monarch Education are seeking a passionate and dedicated Sports Coach to join a vibrant secondary school located in Northampton, from 1st September. As a Sports Coach, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality coaching sessions, supporting the PE department, and helping students improve their sporting skills across a variety of sports. You will work closely with staff to promote participation, sportsmanship, and a positive attitude towards physical activity.

The Candidate will need:

  • Relevant coaching qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Sports Coach, UKCC, or equivalent)
  • Experience working with secondary school students in a coaching or PE setting
  • Strong knowledge of various sports and physical activities
  • Excellent communication and motivational skills
  • Ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging sports coaching sessions
  • Supporting the PE department with school sports events and extracurricular activities
  • Promoting teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship
  • Monitoring student progress and providing feedback
  • Ensuring a safe and inclusive environment during all activities
  • Assisting with the organisation of school sports competitions and events
