About the Role:

Monarch Education are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Level 2 SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with a range of needs within a vibrant client school in Ashton-under-Lyne (OL6). You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver tailored support to children, ensuring they can access the curriculum and thrive in a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting children with diverse SEN needs, including those working from EHCPs
  • Assisting with classroom activities and learning tasks
  • Promoting positive behaviour and social development
  • Creating a safe and engaging learning environment
  • Collaborating with school staff and external professionals as needed

Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN, preferably within a school setting
  • Knowledge of EHCPs and how to support children with complex needs
  • Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent
  • Compassionate, patient and adaptable approach
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
