EYFS Teaching Assistant – Primary School – Stroud

Are you passionate about early years education and supporting young children in their first steps of learning? A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a warm and inclusive primary school in Stroud. You will work closely with the class teacher and EYFS team to create a safe, engaging, and stimulating learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience working with children in an EYFS setting
• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework
• Strong organisational and observation skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• A nurturing and proactive approach to child development
• An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the class teacher with EYFS curriculum delivery
• Assisting with phonics, play-based learning, and early literacy/numeracy
• Creating a positive and inclusive environment for young learners
• Monitoring and encouraging developmental milestones
• Managing behaviour and routines in line with school policies
• Working collaboratively with staff and parents to support pupil progress
