Dyslexia Assessor/Tutor – Longbridge – Immediate Start

Monarch Education are currently recruiting for a qualified and compassionate Dyslexia Assessor/Tutor to support learners at a specialist education setting in Longbridge, Birmingham. This is a part-time role, working 17.5 hours per week over 2.5 days, with an immediate start available.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with a Level 7 qualification in assessing for exam access arrangements to make a meaningful impact on learners with specific learning difficulties. You will play a key role in identifying individual needs and delivering tailored support to help students overcome barriers and achieve their academic goals.

Key Details:

  • Location: Longbridge, Birmingham
  • Hours: 17.5 hours per week (2.5 days)
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Specialism: Dyslexia assessment and support, exam access arrangements

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • A Level 7 qualification in assessing for exam access arrangements (e.g. CPT3A or equivalent)
  • Experience working with learners with dyslexia or other specific learning difficulties
  • Strong understanding of SEND and inclusive education practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A supportive, empathetic, and learner-centred approach
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting diagnostic assessments for dyslexia and exam access arrangements
  • Delivering one-to-one or small group support sessions tailored to individual needs
  • Writing clear, evidence-based reports in line with JCQ guidelines
  • Collaborating with teaching staff and SEN teams to implement support strategies
  • Monitoring learner progress and adapting support as needed
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
