GCSE Science & BTEC Tutor (Biology & Chemistry) – Longbridge – Immediate Start

Monarch Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and knowledgeable GCSE Science & BTEC Tutor to support learners at a well-established education centre in Longbridge, Birmingham. This is a part-time role, working Mondays (9:00am – 4:15pm, 6 hours) and Tuesdays (9:00am – 12:15pm), with an immediate start available.

This is an excellent opportunity for a science educator with a strong background in Biology and Chemistry to deliver engaging lessons across GCSE and BTEC Science programmes, helping students build confidence and achieve academic success.

  • Location: Longbridge, Birmingham
  • Hours: Monday (9:00am – 4:15pm), Tuesday (9:00am – 12:15pm)
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Subjects: GCSE Science (Biology & Chemistry), BTEC Applied Science

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience teaching GCSE Science and/or BTEC Applied Science
  • Strong subject knowledge in Biology and Chemistry
  • A recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • A learner-focused approach and commitment to inclusive education
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons in Biology and Chemistry
  • Supporting learners with coursework, assessments, and exam preparation
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Monitoring learner progress and providing constructive feedback
  • Ensuring course delivery meets awarding body standards
  • Collaborating with colleagues to support learner success
