Monarch Education is seeking a talented and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a primary school in Sutton Coldfield.

The school is looking for a dedicated HLTA to provide high-quality support across the school, working closely with teachers and pupils to enhance learning and ensure an inclusive environment. The ideal candidate will hold a minimum of a Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) and have previous experience working with children in a school setting.

This role involves leading learning activities, supporting class teachers, and working with pupils to promote their academic and social development. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering engaging lessons, supporting pupils with additional needs, and fostering a positive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support learning activities in the classroom, ensuring pupils’ engagement and progress
• Support teachers with planning, delivering, and evaluating lessons
• Work with pupils with additional needs, including those with SEND, to access the curriculum effectively
• Support the development of pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural skills
• Monitor and record pupils’ progress and behaviour
• Promote an inclusive and positive classroom environment
• Support pupils’ independence and confidence in learning

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum Level 4 Supporting Teaching and Learning Qualification (or equivalent)
• Proven experience supporting pupils, including those with SEND, in a primary school setting
• Strong understanding of the national curriculum and adapting activities to meet diverse needs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proactive, adaptable, and committed to pupil success
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
