Cover Supervisor

Monarch Education is currently recruiting for a committed and confident Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming and inclusive Catholic secondary school in Walsall. This is a full-time position, starting immediately on a long-term temporary basis.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absences by delivering pre-set work and managing classroom behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervising classes across a range of subjects
• Ensuring students remain on task with the work set
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Supporting students with their learning where appropriate
• Reporting back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with young people (e.g. in education, youth work, coaching, etc.)
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to manage classroom behaviour confidently
• A positive and proactive attitude
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Minimum of 2 references covering the last 2 years
