Job Title: Secondary Cover Supervisor
Location: Taunton
Salary: £110-£130 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time / Flexible
Start Date: November 2025

About the Role:
Are you passionate about education and looking to make a difference in the classroom? We are seeking a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join a vibrant secondary school in Taunton. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals considering a career in teaching or those with experience working with young people.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing a classroom during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged with their learning and follow the set lesson plans. You’ll play a key role in maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans to classes across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Provide support and guidance to students during lessons
• Liaise with teaching staff to ensure continuity of learning
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour

Requirements:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively
• Experience working with young people (e.g., in schools, youth work, tutoring)
• A degree or equivalent qualification is desirable but not essential
• A genuine interest in education and student development
