SEMH Teaching Assistant – Resource Base

Are you passionate about supporting pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?
Do you have experience helping young people who find it challenging to manage emotions and build positive relationships?

We are looking for a committed SEMH Teaching Assistant to work within a specialist resource base in a mainstream secondary school on Gloucester Road, Bristol. This role is full-time for the current academic year, with the potential to progress onto a long-term contract.

About the Role:
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs.
• Assist in creating a safe, structured, and nurturing environment within the resource base.
• Work closely with teachers and the SEND team to implement strategies that promote emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
• Support pupils both in the classroom and during activities outside the classroom.
