Teaching Assistant (SEND) – Immediate Start (DN12 Area)

A Doncaster (DN12) based Primary School is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Learning Support Assistant to join their supportive team. This role involves working with small groups of SEND pupils from Year 1 to Year 6, providing tailored support to help them access the curriculum and thrive in a nurturing environment.

SEND experience is crucial for this position, and the successful candidate will be confident in supporting pupils with a range of needs, including Autistic Spectrum Disorders.

Your Role

  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo, and Headteacher to support pupils’ learning and wellbeing.
  • Provide targeted support to small groups of SEND pupils across Years 1 to 6.
  • Help create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

  • Proven experience working with children with SEND (essential).
  • A caring, patient, and proactive attitude.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
