English Teacher – B11 Area

Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Part-time (Mondays, Wednesdays & Thursdays) through to Easter 2026

Monarch Education is seeking a dedicated Teacher of English to join a welcoming secondary school in the B11 area of Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire students and support their progress in English across Key Stage 3 and 4.

Role Details

• Days Required: Mondays, Wednesdays & Thursdays
• Planning & Marking: Essential – candidates must be happy to take on full planning and marking responsibilities
• CPD Commitment: On Thursdays, you must be available until 4:45pm for CPD sessions

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Plan and prepare lessons in line with curriculum requirements
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing targeted support
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Contribute to school-wide initiatives and development

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching English at secondary level
• Strong knowledge of KS3 and KS4 curriculum
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities
