SEND Teaching Assistant – Full-Time

Location: Bournville
Contract Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday)

Monarch Education is seeking experienced SEND Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school resourse base in the B30 area. This is a fantastic opportunity for caring and committed individuals who are passionate about supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD or complex needs and ensuring they thrive in a safe, nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of complex SEND needs.
• Assist with learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO.
• Promote independence, confidence, and wellbeing for all pupils.
• Support with personal care where required, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to meet individual needs.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to progress reviews and EHCP targets.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children with SEND, ideally in a school setting.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviour and implement positive strategies.
• A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting pupils.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to assist with personal care when necessary.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and commitment to pupil welfare.
