Monarch Education are looking for a caring, proactive, and patient SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs in a warm and inclusive primary school. This full‑time position is based in Northfield in South Birmingham and begins immediately until the end of the academic year (July 2026).
You will be working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored support to children with a range of needs, such as ASD, ADHD, speech & language difficulties, or SEMH.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience supporting children with SEND (school-based experience preferred)
- A calm, nurturing approach with the ability to build positive relationships
- Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for helping children thrive
- Ability to follow EHCP targets and adapt support to individual needs
- Reliability, resilience, and a team-focused mindset
- Level 2/3 TA qualification is advantageous but not essential if you have suitable school based experience
In this role, you will provide both 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with SEND, assisting in the delivery of tailored learning interventions and helping to create a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment. You will work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals, supporting children’s emotional regulation and social development while contributing to planning, observations, and progress reports as needed.
