Monarch Education is working with a secondary school in Erdington that is looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor on a full-time basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is confident in the classroom, can quickly establish positive relationships with pupils, and is able to maintain high standards of learning and behaviour throughout the school day.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working across a range of subjects and year groups, ensuring lessons run smoothly in the absence of the regular class teacher.

The Role

  • Supervising lessons using work set by teaching staff
  • Maintaining a focused and productive learning environment
  • Managing behaviour in line with school expectations
  • Encouraging pupil participation and engagement
  • Supporting students to remain on task throughout lessons
  • Providing feedback to teaching staff following lessons
  • Following all safeguarding and school policies

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience working within a secondary school setting
  • Confident leading a classroom independently
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Calm, professional and adaptable approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
