Deputy Nursery Manager – Small Heath, Birmingham

At Monarch Education, we are committed to supporting our candidates and delivering high-quality staffing solutions to nurseries and early years settings across Birmingham and the surrounding areas.

We are currently working in partnership with a well-established nursery in the Small Heath area of Birmingham that is preparing to open a brand new branch in January 2027. As a result, they are seeking an experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join their team and play a key role in supporting the successful launch and day-to-day management of the new setting.

This is an exciting opportunity for a confident and experienced early years professional who is looking to take on a leadership role within a growing nursery group.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the Nursery Manager with the daily operation of the nursery
• Leading and motivating staff to deliver outstanding care and education
• Ensuring compliance with EYFS, safeguarding, and regulatory requirements
• Monitoring children’s learning and development and supporting high-quality practice
• Building positive relationships with children, parents, carers, and external agencies
• Assisting with staff supervision, training, and performance management
• Supporting occupancy growth and maintaining excellent standards across the setting
• Helping to create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for all children

To apply, you must:

• Hold a full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare (minimum requirement)
• Have previous experience working as a Deputy Nursery Manager, Nursery Manager, or in a senior nursery leadership role
• Have a strong understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures
• Demonstrate excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
• Be passionate about delivering outstanding childcare and early years education
• Be able to support the opening and development of a new nursery setting
