ARE YOU AN EXPERIENCED HLTA LOOKING FOR A LONG-TERM ROLE?

We are currently recruiting for Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to join supportive primary schools across Bournville (B30) and Rubery (B45). These are full-time opportunities starting in September, offering variety, responsibility, and the chance to make a real impact across the school.

Roles Available:

🔹 HLTA – Bournville (B30)
* Working across the whole school where required
* Leading classes and delivering pre-planned lessons
* Supporting as a Teaching Assistant when needed
* Working closely with SEN pupils and delivering targeted support

🔹 HLTA – Rubery (B45)
* Full-time HLTA role across the primary setting
* Supporting teaching and learning across year groups
* Leading groups and covering classes where required

About the role(s):

  • Monday to Friday – Full time (term time only)
    * Based in Bournville (B30) and Rubery (B45)
    * Starting in September
    * Long-term positions with potential to continue
    * Delivering lessons, supporting pupils, and working across multiple year groups
    * Collaborating with teachers, SEN staff, and wider school teams

What we’re looking for:

We are seeking confident, experienced, and proactive HLTAs who are comfortable taking on varied responsibilities across the school.

You will:
* Have recent experience working in a school setting (within the last 2 years, with references)
* Hold HLTA status or have equivalent experience
* Be confident leading whole classes and covering lessons
* Have experience supporting SEN pupils (essential for B30 role)
* Be flexible and adaptable across different year groups
* Have strong behaviour management skills
* Be able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
* Work effectively as part of a team
* Be committed to creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
* Ideally be local or able to travel to B30 or B45
