Monarch Education is seeking a passionate, engaging and committed KS3 English Teacher for a full-time opportunity at a well-established secondary school in Evington, Leicester.

The role

As a KS3 English Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across Key Stage 3.
• Develop pupils’ confidence in reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary and spoken English.
• Bring literature and language to life through creative and stimulating teaching.
• Adapt lessons to meet the needs and abilities of pupils across a range of attainment levels.
• Establish clear expectations for behaviour and maintain a positive, purposeful classroom environment.
• Assess pupils’ progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
• Work collaboratively with the English department and wider teaching team.
• Encourage pupils to become confident, independent learners who enjoy exploring language and literature.

The ideal candidate

We are looking for a teacher who is enthusiastic about their subject and committed to helping young people succeed.

You will ideally have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or equivalent recognised teaching status.
• Experience teaching English at Key Stage 3.
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver well-structured, engaging lessons.
• Effective classroom management and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
• A flexible, professional and proactive approach.
• A genuine passion for English and for supporting pupils’ academic progress.
