Monarch Education is recruiting a dedicated and caring Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a specialist Resource Base within a friendly and inclusive primary school in Easton, Bristol. This rewarding part-time role offers the opportunity to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential.
About the School
This welcoming primary school places inclusion at the heart of everything it does. The Resource Base provides tailored support for pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them develop academically, socially, and emotionally within a safe and supportive environment.
Working alongside experienced teachers and SEND professionals, you’ll play an important role in helping pupils build confidence, independence, communication skills, and positive relationships.
The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils with SEND within the Resource Base and wider school environment.
- Work with children on a 1:1 basis and in small intervention groups.
- Help deliver personalised learning and support plans.
- Support communication, social interaction, and emotional development.
- Encourage engagement in learning through positive and inclusive strategies.
- Build trusting relationships with pupils and staff.
- Promote independence, confidence, and self-esteem.
- Help create a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment.
- Support children with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language needs, and SEMH.
What We’re Looking For
We would love to hear from candidates who:
- Have experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable individuals.
- Are patient, resilient, and compassionate.
- Have an interest in SEND and inclusive education.
- Can build positive relationships and communicate effectively.
- Are adaptable, proactive, and keen to support individual learning needs.
- Have experience in schools, nurseries, care settings, youth work, support work, or similar environments.
