Monarch Education are supporting a Nursery School in Erdington, Birmingham who are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and reliable Nursery Practitioner to join their team from September 2026.

This is a long‑term, full‑time position working across the nursery provision, supporting children aged 2-4 in a nurturing play‑based environment.

About the Role

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a key role in supporting children’s early development, helping to create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning space.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting children’s learning through play and structured activities
  • Assisting with daily routines, including snack time, outdoor play and group sessions
  • Delivering small‑group learning based on early years guidance
  • Promoting children’s language, independence, and social development
  • Working closely with staff to maintain a warm and welcoming environment
  • Supporting the wellbeing and safeguarding of all children

What We’re Looking For

The nursery school would love to meet candidates who are:

  • Nurturing, patient, and genuinely passionate about Early Years
  • Confident working with children aged 2-4
  • Creative, energetic, and able to support learning through play
  • Reliable and proactive within a team
  • You must have a Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or equivalent)

Experience in a nursery or Early Years school setting is essential

  • Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
  • Days: Monday to Friday
  • Start Date: 1st September 2026
  • Location: Erdington, Birmingham
  • Contract: Full-time, long-term
