PE Teacher

Monarch Education are currently supporting a secondary school in Small Heath who are looking to appoint a PE Teacher for a full-time role with an immediate start.

This is a long-term position with the potential to become permanent, offering an excellent opportunity for a motivated teacher looking to establish themselves within a supportive school environment.

The role involves teaching Physical Education across Key Stages 3 and 4. The school are looking for someone who can deliver engaging and inclusive lessons, encourage participation from all students, and promote both physical wellbeing and a positive attitude towards sport.

You will be joining a supportive department and will be expected to contribute to planning, assessment and student progress within the subject.

Day to Day, You Can Expect To:

• Deliver PE lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Teach a range of practical sports and physical activities
• Encourage student participation and engagement
• Plan lessons that cater to varying abilities and needs
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Prepare students for practical and theory-based assessments where applicable
• Manage behaviour in line with school expectations
• Work collaboratively with colleagues within the PE department

To Be Considered, You Will Need:

• QTS
• Experience teaching PE within a secondary school setting
• A strong understanding of the KS3 and KS4 PE curriculum
• Confidence leading practical lessons and extracurricular activities
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Excellent organisation and communication skills
• A reliable and professional approach
