Monarch Education are working with primary schools across Alfreton to recruit a Primary Teaching Assistant for September 2026.

We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals with experience supporting children within a UK school environment. Whether you are looking for a long-term role, part-time hours or more flexible opportunities, we are working with a range of schools seeking reliable support staff for the new academic year.

The Role:

• Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
• Provide one-to-one and small group support where required
• Assist the class teacher with classroom activities and learning interventions
• Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement with learning
• Adapt support to meet individual pupil needs
• Contribute to a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment
• Work closely with teachers and other support staff

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience working within a UK primary school
• Strong understanding of the role of a Teaching Assistant
• Ability to build positive and supportive relationships with pupils
• Confident supporting learning across the primary age range
• Calm, patient and reliable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to helping pupils achieve their full potential
