Pay: Paid to scale (£153 – £238 per day, equivalent to MPS/UPS depending on experience)

We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Qualified Business Studies Teacher (QTS) to join a well-regarded secondary school in Oxford from September 2026. This is a long-term opportunity, ideal for a teacher who is passionate about delivering engaging lessons and equipping students with real-world business knowledge and entrepreneurial skills.

You will teach across Key Stages 4 and 5 (KS3 exposure beneficial), inspiring students to understand the dynamic world of business, finance, and enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Business Studies lessons
  • Teach across KS4 and KS5 (GCSE and A-Level/BTEC)
  • Prepare students for examinations and coursework assessments
  • Foster an understanding of real-world business concepts and practices
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing targeted support where needed
  • Contribute to departmental planning and wider school initiatives

Essential Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
  • A degree in Business Studies, Economics, or a related subject
  • Proven experience teaching Business Studies at secondary level
  • Strong subject knowledge across key business topics (e.g. marketing, finance, operations)
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience teaching GCSE and A-Level Business Studies or BTEC Business
  • Knowledge of current exam boards (AQA, Edexcel, OCR)
  • Ability to link curriculum content to real-world business scenarios
  • Background or experience in industry or enterprise
  • Track record of supporting student progress and attainment
