An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join a lovely and welcoming secondary school in Radstock. This long-term role, starting in September 2026, is ideal for a teacher who is committed to delivering engaging science lessons and inspiring students across Key Stages 3 and 4.

About the Role

You will be delivering engaging and well-structured Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop their understanding of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. The school supports creative teaching approaches and provides a positive environment where both staff and students can thrive.


Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Science across KS3 and KS4 (up to GCSE level)
  • Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons
  • Support students in developing scientific knowledge and practical skills
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and academic achievement
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge across the Science curriculum
  • Experience teaching up to GCSE level
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • A passion for teaching and student success
  • A proactive, positive, and team-oriented approach
  • A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
