Monarch Education is working in partnership with a well-established specialist SEN school in the Northfield area. We are currently looking to build a pool of reliable, flexible supply staff, including:
- SEN Teaching Assistants (TA’s)
- Care Assistants
- Support Workers

About the School
The school supports pupils with a wide range of complex needs, including:
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- Moderate to severe learning difficulties (MLD/SLD)
- Complex communication and interaction needs
- Social, emotional and behavioural needs

Your Role
As part of the supply team, you will provide essential support across the school on an ad hoc basis. Responsibilities include:
- Supporting pupils with a range of learning, communication and sensory needs
- Providing 1:1 and small group support
- Following EHCPs and personalised support strategies
- Using visual timetables, structured routines and communication aids
- Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour approaches
- Assisting with personal care and physical support where required (training provided)
- Working collaboratively with teaching and support staff
- Helping to maintain a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment
- Encouraging independence, communication and social interaction
What We’re Looking For
Essential: Experience supporting individuals with SEN (education, care, residential or similar)
- A flexible, reliable and proactive approach
- Ability to adapt quickly to different environments and pupil needs
- Calm, patient and nurturing attitude
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Desirable (but not essential):
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Experience supporting autism and complex needs
- Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, or visual communication strategies
