Monday to Friday | 8:30am – 3:30pm
Starting after October half-term until the end of the academic year

Are you passionate about supporting young people with additional needs? We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive secondary SEN school in Bury.

This rewarding role involves working closely with students who have a range of additional needs, including PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties), ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs. You will play a key role in helping pupils access learning, develop independence and achieve their full potential.

The Role:

• Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assisting with classroom activities and learning interventions
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
• Supporting pupils with their social, emotional and personal development
• Working closely with teachers and other support staff to create a positive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience working with SEN, particularly PMLD, ASC or SEMH needs
• A background in care, support work, residential care or similar settings is highly desirable
• Patient, resilient and compassionate approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A genuine passion for helping young people succeed
