Monarch Education is working in partnership with a specialist secondary SEND school in Moseley to recruit a Qualified Teacher (QTS) to support pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and complex needs.

This role is ideal for a compassionate, skilled teacher who is passionate about delivering highly personalised education to young people with significant physical, medical, sensory, and learning needs.

The Role

  • Plan and deliver highly differentiated, sensory‑based learning for secondary‑aged pupils
  • Teach and support students with PMLD and complex needs, including physical and medical needs
  • Deliver learning in line with EHCP outcomes and personalised support plans
  • Create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists, and SEN professionals
  • Support communication using AAC, sensory strategies, and specialist resources
  • Monitor progress and contribute to reviews, assessments, and multidisciplinary meetings

Essential Criteria

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching pupils with PMLD and/or complex needs
  • Strong understanding of inclusive and specialist pedagogy
  • Calm, patient, and resilient teaching approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Genuine commitment to supporting young people with profound needs
  • Available to work full‑time on a long‑term basis
