£140 – £250 per day (dependent on experience)

Monarch Education are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Burton-on-Trent seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Reception or Year 1 Teacher to join their team from January 2027 for the Spring Term.

The school is open to appointing a teacher in either Reception or Year 1, depending on the successful candidate’s experience, strengths and preference. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive school environment and make a positive impact during a crucial stage of children’s development.

The Role

• Teaching either a Reception or Year 1 class
• Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the EYFS or Key Stage 1 curriculum
• Creating a positive, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
• Monitoring pupil progress and adapting teaching to meet individual needs
• Working collaboratively with support staff, colleagues and parents
• Promoting high standards of behaviour and learning

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching within EYFS and/or Key Stage 1
• Strong classroom management skills
• A child-centred approach to teaching and learning
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A commitment to supporting every child to reach their full potential
