Monarch Education are recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs across primary schools in Derby.

This role is ideal for candidates with SEN experience who are confident working in a range of primary settings, supporting pupils on a one to one and small group basis.


About the Role

You will support pupils with special educational needs to access learning, develop independence and engage positively throughout the school day.

Roles may vary between schools, offering both short term and longer term opportunities.


Key Responsibilities

Support pupils with SEN across the primary age range
Assist with tailored learning activities and classroom tasks
Encourage engagement, communication and positive behaviour
Support emotional, social and academic development
Work closely with teachers and SEN staff
Help maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment


Requirements

Experience working with SEN or SEND
Patient, calm and adaptable approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils
Experience in education, care or support settings is desirable
