Monarch Education are recruiting a 1 to 1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs across primary schools in Chesterfield.
This role is suited to candidates with SEN experience who are confident providing dedicated one to one support to help pupils access learning and develop both academically and socially.
You will work on a one to one basis with a pupil, supporting their individual needs throughout the school day. This includes helping with engagement, communication and emotional regulation within a structured classroom environment.
Assignments may vary between schools, offering both short term and longer term opportunities.
Provide one to one support for a pupil with SEN
Assist with personalised learning activities and strategies
Encourage engagement, communication and positive behaviour
Support emotional regulation and social development
Work closely with the class teacher and SEN staff
Help maintain a safe, consistent and supportive environment
Experience working with SEN or SEND
Confidence supporting pupils on a one to one basis
Patient, calm and consistent approach
Strong communication and relationship building skills
Ability to adapt to individual pupil needs
Experience in education, care or support settings is desirable
