Experienced SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Solihull
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Salary: £100 – £110 per day

Monarch Education are recruiting for an Experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEND school supporting pupils with a range of complex learning needs.
This is a full-time, long-term position working with children and young people with Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), communication needs, sensory processing difficulties, and complex medical needs. Many pupils may be working significantly below age-related expectations and require highly personalised support to access learning and everyday activities.
You will work closely with class teachers and wider support staff to deliver engaging learning opportunities, promote independence, and support pupils’ social, emotional, and personal development. The role may involve supporting pupils with personal care, moving and handling, sensory activities, communication strategies, and medical needs where required.

What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND
- Experience working with Autism, SLD, PMLD, complex needs, or medical needs
- A caring, patient, and resilient nature
- Confidence supporting pupils with a range of communication needs, including non-verbal learners
- A good understanding of sensory regulation and child-centred approaches
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive and adaptable attitude
- Experience with personal care and moving and handling is desirable
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is beneficial but not essential
