Monarch Education are working in partnership with a specialist SEND school in Rugby and are looking for compassionate, resilient and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to join their team.

The Role

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning and achieve positive outcomes both inside and outside the classroom.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing 1:1 support and small group interventions
• Supporting pupils with Autism (ASC), communication needs and complex learning difficulties
• Encouraging independence, confidence and life skills
• Supporting emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour
• Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and personalised learning activities
• Helping pupils overcome barriers to learning
• Monitoring and reporting on pupil progress
• Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
• Contributing to a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment
