Hours: Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8:30am-3:30pm
Contract: Temporary to Permanent | ASAP Start (Subject to Successful Trial)
Pay Rate: £92.59 – £120 per day (dependent on experience)

Monarch Education is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive special educational needs (SEN) school in Oldbury. The school caters for primary-aged pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, moderate learning difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils in overcoming barriers to learning, building confidence, and achieving positive outcomes both inside and outside the classroom.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
* Assist children in accessing learning tailored to their individual needs
* Promote communication, independence, and emotional wellbeing
* Support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural development
* Work closely with teachers and SEND professionals to deliver targeted support
* Build positive relationships and act as a trusted role model
* Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
We’re Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN, either in education, care, support work, or youth work
* A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
* The ability to remain calm, positive, and proactive in challenging situations
