Teaching Assistant
Location: Cannock
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Rate of Pay: £92.59 – £120 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Monarch Education are working in partnership with a specialist SEN school in Cannock to recruit a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant.
This is a full-time, long-term opportunity within a supportive and nurturing setting, working with pupils who have a range of additional needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), moderate and severe learning difficulties, communication and interaction needs, sensory processing difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
The successful candidate will support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, helping them access learning, develop communication and social skills, build confidence and independence, and achieve positive outcomes both academically and emotionally.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN, SEND, ASD, SEMH, or complex needs, or relevant transferable skills
- A patient, calm, and nurturing approach
- Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
- Experience supporting pupils with communication difficulties and additional learning needs
- The ability to adapt support strategies to meet individual pupil needs
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive, flexible, and resilient attitude
- A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
- A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
